
KUMASI, Ghana—Lady Julia Osei-Tutu, the wife of the Asantehene, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei-Tutu II, on December 9, 2025, officially commissioned the EVE Medical Centre located at the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) Medical Village in Kumasi. The commissioning was a joint effort with the KGL Foundation and the EVE Medical Foundation.
The newly established centre is dedicated to significantly improving mental health support for women across Ghana. Its primary focus is on providing specialized care and essential wellness services tailored specifically to the needs of women, addressing a critical gap in the nation’s healthcare infrastructure.
The high-profile commissioning ceremony was attended by a host of dignitaries, underscoring the national importance of the initiative. Notable attendees included the Vice President of Ghana, Her Excellency Professor Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang, along with Elliot Dadey, CEO of KGL Foundation; Alex Apau Dadey, Chairman of the KGL Group; and Professor Ellis Owusu-Dabo, Chairman of the EVE Medical Foundation.
