Ghana has been plunged into grief following the sudden and heartbreaking passing of Sarah Araba Tettey, a rising private legal practitioner whose brilliance and promise were widely admired.

According to reports first carried by Citi FM, the young lawyer, an alumna of the KNUST Faculty of Law and newly called to the Bar earlier this year, collapsed while joyfully watching Ghana’s victory over Panama with friends at a private hostel in Bomso, near the KNUST campus.

Witnesses say Sarah suddenly suffered what is believed to be a cardiac arrest during the celebrations. She was rushed to the KNUST Hospital, where medical professionals administered CPR for approximately 45 minutes. Despite their relentless efforts, she was pronounced dead shortly afterward.

Her passing has sent shockwaves across the legal fraternity, the KNUST community, and among young professionals nationwide. Friends describe her as brilliant, warm‑spirited, deeply principled, and passionately committed to justice. Her journey in the legal profession had only just begun.

SankofaOnline extends its deepest and sincerest condolences to the Tettey family, her colleagues, friends, and all who mourn this devastating loss. May her soul find peaceful rest, and may her memory remain a blessing.
