Zion College is on the brink of another historic moment. As the 61st Inter‑School Sports and Games Competition approaches , Team ZICO is training with fire, discipline, and an unshakable determination to make the blue‑and‑yellow flag fly high once again. The event is jointly hosted by Anlo SHS and Zion College from 28th February to 7th March 2026.
The video circulating across social media platforms tells its own story: young athletes sprinting with purpose, jumping with precision, sweating through drills, and pushing themselves beyond limits. Coaches are working tirelessly, the Sports Committee is fully mobilized, and the spirit on campus is electric. ZICO is ready , mentally, physically and emotionally.
But readiness alone is not enough.
Despite the passion and commitment of the athletes, the school faces a critical shortage of essential sports equipment. The list is long, the need is urgent, and the clock is ticking. Without these basic tools, the athletes will be forced to compete at a disadvantage , and that is something the Nafrican spirit cannot allow.

These are not luxuries , they are the bare minimum required for fair competition. Every ball, every net, every pair of spikes directly strengthens a ZICO athlete. Every cedi you give becomes a baton in a relay, a spike on the track, a whistle for fair play, a jersey that carries the school’s indomitable identity.
This is where Nafricans everywhere must rise. This is where friends of Nafricans must stand with them.This is where benevolent organizations, year groups, old students, and well‑wishers must step forward.
Imagine if each year group picked just one line item. Imagine if every Nafrican sent even one cedi or whatever he or she can afford? Imagine if every Nafrican or friend of ZICO shared this call. The impact would be immediate and transformational.
Zion College may have been founded by one visionary, but its strength has always come from the generations whose collective heartbeat keeps it alive. Today, that heartbeat is calling once more.
Let us not allow our athletes to step onto the field unequipped. Let us not allow their sweat and sacrifice to be undermined by lack of basic tools. Let us show them that the Nafrican family stands behind them , fully, proudly, and powerfully.
