In a heartfelt farewell, Samuel Kwabena Owusu, a seasoned nurse, has officially retired. For 37 years, he dedicated himself to saving lives, bringing smiles to patients’ faces, and supporting their families. His journey has been one of compassion, knowledge, and unwavering commitment.

Mr. Owusu expressed gratitude to the Lord Almighty—the Alpha and Omega—for granting him good health, patience, and love throughout his career. Working alongside dedicated colleagues, he provided exceptional care to countless patients.
A special shout-out goes to the remarkable IV Therapy Team at the University of Chicago. Their support and love made his retirement farewell party truly memorable.
Samuel Kwabena Owusu’s nursing career began at the KorleBu Nurses Training College in August 1984. His dedication and passion for healthcare led him on a transformative path. In the early ’90s, he made a life-changing decision—to relocate to the United States with his family.
From Ghana to the U.S., Mr. Owusu’s unwavering commitment to saving lives and providing exceptional care has left an indelible mark.
In the Ghanaian community, Sam Owusu is renowned for his video production skills, earning him the nickname “Naneeffe.” Recently, when his wife assumed the role of Manye, Queen , of the GaDangme Community Organization, he adopted the name “Duke”.
As he closes this professional chapter, Mr. Owusu looks forward to new adventures, pursuing passions, and spending quality time with loved ones. As he embarks on retirement, we celebrate his legacy and wish him well in the new endeavors that await him.
