President John Dramani Mahama departed Accra on Sunday, January 11, 2026, to begin a high-profile international working visit to the United Kingdom and Switzerland. According to a statement released by the Minister for Government Communications and Spokesperson to the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the President’s first itinerary involves a stop in the United Kingdom for a series of strategic meetings with coordinators of the Accra Reset Initiative.
Following his engagements in the United Kingdom, President Mahama will proceed to Davos, Switzerland, to participate in the annual session of the World Economic Forum. While at the forum, the President is scheduled to take part in high-level sessions and hold bilateral discussions with various world leaders on the sidelines of the event.
The visit aims to strengthen international partnerships and advance the administration’s urban development and economic objectives.
