Prez Mahama Calls for National Unity and Compassion in Ramadan Message

President John Dramani Mahama, joined by First Lady Lordina Dramani Mahama, has extended his warmest greetings to the Muslim community across Ghana as the nation enters the holy month of Ramadan. In a message released to mark the start of the fast, the President described the period as a vital time for spiritual reflection, renewal, and the strengthening of communal bonds.

He expressed his hope that the month would bring purification of heart and a deepening of faith for all those observing the thirty-day period of devotion.

The President emphasized that the true essence of Ramadan extends beyond physical abstinence, highlighting the values of discipline, compassion, and generosity toward the less fortunate as central to the holy month.

He urged Ghanaians to use this season to reinforce the spirit of unity and love within their neighborhoods and across the country. President Mahama also offered prayers for the good health and peace of mind of the faithful, asking for divine strength to sustain them throughout their worship.
