Accra, Ghana – The Lordina Foundation, led by its Founder and President, H.E. Mrs. Lordina Mahama, organized its fifth quarterly free medical screening and treatment exercise for retired pastors, their spouses, and widows of the Assemblies of God, Ghana, on Friday, December 5, 2025.
The event, held at the Ringway Gospel Center in Osu, Accra, was sponsored by the First Couple of Ghana—H.E. John Dramani Mahama and H.E. Mrs. Lordina Mahama—along with the Foundation. Mrs. Mahama, a devoted member of the denomination, was present and accompanied by the General Superintendent, Rev. Stephen Wengam. The high-profile event also hosted special guests, including H.E. Mrs. Kartumu Boakai, First Lady of Liberia, H.E. Mrs. Tobeka Madiba-Zuma, former First Lady of South Africa, and H.E. Madam Sinare, Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain.
Beneficiaries received comprehensive medical screening, treatment, and medications, as well as a supply of medical consumables intended to last four months. The First Lady personally presented each retiree with a Christmas hamper containing essential items such as fabric, rice, oil, tin tomatoes, and a cash gift. In expressing gratitude, Rev. Wengam lauded the First Couple and the Foundation for their exceptional generosity, noting that the quarterly intervention significantly eases the heavy financial burden of medical care for the retirees and the church. Pastor Boateng Sarpong, Board Chairman of the Foundation, reaffirmed the organization’s dedication to supporting vulnerable members of society.
