In a moving demonstration of unity, respect, and gratitude, former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia today led the National Executives of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) on a solemn condolence visit to the family of the late H.E. Samuel Odoi-Sykes, a distinguished statesman and former National Chairman of the party.
The visit was marked by an atmosphere of deep reflection and compassion as the party leadership joined the bereaved family in mourning the loss of a man widely regarded as one of the NPP’s most dedicated pioneers. Dr. Bawumia and the delegation conveyed their heartfelt sympathies, offering words of comfort and solidarity during this difficult period.
Joining the delegation were several prominent figures within the party, including the Minority Leader in Parliament, Hon. Alexander Afenyo-Markin, and other senior party officials, all of whom came to pay their respects and stand with the family in their hour of grief.
Paying tribute to the late H.E. His enduring influence, they said, remains firmly etched in the history of the NPP and in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.
The visit concluded with prayers for strength, comfort, and divine guidance for the grieving family. In a final message of hope, the delegation prayed that God would grant the family the fortitude to bear the loss and welcome the late statesman into eternal peace.
“May the Almighty God comfort and strengthen the family during this difficult period, and may the gentle soul of H.E. Samuel Odoi-Sykes rest in perfect peace.”
