Hanna Serwaa Tetteh, the newly appointed Special Representative of the Secretary-General and Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL), has taken to social media to express her heartfelt gratitude to all those who congratulated her on her new role.
Mad. Hanna Tetteh, a seasoned Ghanaian diplomat and politician, acknowledged that she hasn’t been able to respond to each congratulatory message individually, but assured everyone that their kind words, prayers, and encouraging messages are deeply appreciated.
The former Minister for Foreign Affairs and Minister for Trade and Industry in Ghana’s cabinet expressed her honor at being entrusted with this challenging responsibility by the UN Secretary-General. She promised to discharge her duties to the best of her abilities and looked forward to working with key stakeholders, partners, and colleagues in Libya and other UN departments.
