
Accra, Ghana – December 4, 2025 – The 23rd International Conference on AIDS and STIs in Africa (ICASA) is currently underway in Accra, Ghana, drawing thousands of global experts and leaders to the Accra International Conference Centre. Running from December 3 to 8, 2025, the prestigious event is expected to attract over 12,000 participants, including global leaders, researchers, advocates, and healthcare professionals, all focused on addressing the continent’s response to infectious diseases.
Under the theme “Africa in Action: Catalysing Integrated Sustainable Responses to end AIDS, TB & Malaria,” the conference provides a significant platform for Ghana and the wider West African region to highlight their progress in combating HIV, tuberculosis, malaria, and other infectious diseases. The proceedings will feature discussions aimed at driving integrated and sustainable health strategies across Africa.
Her Excellency Prof. Jane Naana Opoku-Agyemang is serving as a special guest of honor, underscoring the high-level political commitment to the conference’s agenda. The gathering is considered the largest continental assembly dedicated to strengthening African health systems and advancing the fight against these critical public health threats.
