ACCRA – The Minister for the Interior, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, has officially launched the Ministry’s Online Digital Services Portal, marking a significant step in Ghana’s national digital transformation agenda.

The new portal is designed to offer citizens convenient access to a range of services across several categories, including citizenship and migration, security and regulatory, and specialized services.

Key services now accessible online include applications for Immigrant Quota Permits, Renunciation of Citizenship, and Dual Nationality/Citizenship. Furthermore, the portal facilitates the Licensing of Private Security Organizations, as well as permits for the Import or Export of Explosives, the Import or Export of Arms and Ammunition, and the Exportation of Dead Bodies.

The transition of these services to a digital platform is anticipated to boost efficiency, enhance transparency, and improve accountability, alongside strengthening data security and ensuring reliable revenue collection. This initiative aligns with the government’s wider digital strategy focused on establishing a modern, secure, and inclusive digital economy.
