Ghana is preparing for another major humanitarian medical intervention as the Graft Foundation, in collaboration with its partners, announces a nationwide call for patients to register for free reconstructive surgeries scheduled from 26th February to 8th March 2026.
This life‑changing initiative, one of the most impactful medical outreach programs in the country, aims to restore dignity, mobility, and hope to individuals living with correctable deformities and long‑standing medical conditions. The Foundation has a strong track record of delivering high‑quality surgical care to underserved communities, and this year’s mission is expected to reach even more families across Ghana.
Conditions to Be Treated
The upcoming surgical mission will address a wide range of anomalies, including:
- Cleft lip and cleft palate
- Extra fingers and toes
- Tumors and abnormal swellings
- Fused fingers and toes
- Post‑burn contractures
- Genital filariasis
- Hypospadias
These conditions, many of which cause physical limitations, social stigma, or lifelong discomfort, can be corrected through specialized reconstructive procedures. For many patients, this program represents their first real opportunity to receive expert medical care at no cost.
