As the holiday season unfolds, members of the Ghana Nurses Association Illinois, GNAI, are making a final, heartfelt appeal to the community: Tomorrow, Friday, December 19, marks the last day to donate coats, jackets, and shoes for their December Giveback initiative. With delivery scheduled for Saturday morning at 10 a.m., organizers report a shortfall in donations and are calling on patrons to help close the gap.

The drive, which benefits the Bea Nice Foundation, seeks gently used or new items in all sizes, adult and children alike. These essentials will be distributed to families in need, offering warmth and dignity during the coldest stretch of the year.

“We’re deeply grateful to those who’ve already contributed,” said Laura Cynthia Boakye , President of the Association . “But we do not have enough. This is a chance to bless someone in a tangible way this Christmas.”

Arranged for pickup by contacting the following: Mansah 630-550-8290, Lexis 630-703-3270 and Alice 773-349-0780. The deadline for collection is firm: Friday, December 19.

In a season defined by generosity, members of the GNAI remind us that the true spirit of Christmas lies not in what we receive, but in what we give. A warm coat. A sturdy pair of shoes. A gesture of care that could change someone’s winter.

The call is clear. The need is urgent. The time is now.
