CHICAGO IL : The National Identification Authority (NIA), in active partnership with the Ghana National Council of Chicago (GNC), has announced that the registration and issuance of the Ghana Card will continue today, Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The exercise is taking place at the Church of Pentecost, located at 8600 S. Kilpatrick Avenue in Chicago, Illinois. Doors open at 9:00 AM, and officials encourage attendees to arrive early to ensure a smooth and efficient process.
This joint initiative aims to bring essential national identification services directly to the Ghanaian diaspora community residing in the greater Chicago area and elsewhere . The ongoing drive provides a valuable opportunity for individuals who have yet to register or complete their Ghana Card application process to obtain their official identification.
Applicants are advised to bring all required supporting documentation, which includes a valid Ghana passport or a Ghanaian birth certificate alongside a valid Ghanaian ID, proof of address, and any previous Ghana Card documentation if applicable.
Representatives from the Ghana National Council of Chicago emphasized the significance of the exercise, urging all eligible community members to take full advantage of this national service.
