The Advertising Association of Ghana (AAG) has paid tribute to its former Executive Director, Francis Dadzie, for his outstanding contribution to the growth and transformation of the advertising and communications industry in Ghana. The honor was conferred at the 2025 Gong Gong Festival of Creativity & Awards in Accra, recognizing Dadzie’s exemplary service, visionary leadership, and dedication to industry advancement over more than 25 years.
During his tenure, the AAG gained local and international visibility, industry standards and ethical practices were strengthened, and the Gong Gong Festival became a nationally recognized platform for creative excellence. Dadzie also mentored generations of advertising professionals and spearheaded strategic partnerships that elevated the industry’s voice across the continent.
Dadzie expressed gratitude for the recognition, citing his passion for making an impact on the industry. He revealed plans to author a book on the evolution of Ghana’s advertising industry and expressed concern over the lack of a legal framework to enforce industry standards, particularly in out-of-home advertising. Despite his retirement, Dadzie remains committed to supporting the industry and bringing together key institutions to speak with a unified voice on marketing communications issues.
