The Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) has presented bank statements and financial records to the court in a sweeping ¢291 million extortion and money laundering case involving the former Chief Executive Officer of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA), Dr. Mustapha Hamid.

As part of the ongoing proceedings, court documents have confirmed an extensive list of properties and assets allegedly tied to the former NPA boss. To build its case, the OSP has submitted comprehensive financial records detailing the alleged illicit enterprise, asserting that Dr. Hamid’s vast accumulation of wealth and real estate is linked to these activities.

The court has confirmed a sprawling inventory of assets associated with the case, ranging from multi-million cedi real estate developments to commercial fuel operations. The listed properties include:

Cash and Commercial Operations

  • Cash: GH¢951,995.56
  • Fuel Stations: Four active stations located at Opeikuma, Dansoman, Abeka Lapaz, and Millennium City.
  • Commercial Fleet: 23 fuel tanker trucks.

High-Value Real Estate and Apartments

  • East Legon: A two-storey residential building valued at GH¢12.713 million.
  • Adjiringanor: A two-storey building valued at GH¢10 million.
  • Agbogba: A six-unit residential block valued at GH¢10 million.
  • Luxury Apartments: Multiple units situated at the Airport Residential Area, Boundary Road, Roman Ridge, The Signature, The Lennox, The Bantree, and The Address.

  • Kumasi (Danyame): Land valued at GH¢4.766 million.
  • Haatso: Land valued at GH¢2.737 million.
  • Adenta: A parcel of land that is yet to be valued.

While the court has confirmed the existence and valuation of these properties as part of the case’s official inventory, all charges of extortion and money laundering against Dr. Hamid remain strictly allegations at this stage. The trial is expected to proceed as the OSP continues to present its financial evidence before the court.
