The Council of Ewe Associations of North America (CEANA) has extended warm Christmas and New Year greetings to its member associations, partners, and the wider Ewe diaspora community, expressing deep appreciation for their steadfast support throughout the year.
In a message issued by CEANA President William Edem Kumah, the Executive Committee praised the unity and resilience that have defined the organization’s work in 2025. According to the statement, the collective achievements of the year reflect the community’s shared commitment to advancing development across Eweland and strengthening bonds among Ewes in North America and beyond.
“As we celebrate the Christmas season, we reflect with pride on the many achievements we have accomplished together,” the message noted, emphasizing that CEANA’s progress is rooted in collaboration and a strong sense of purpose. The Executives expressed optimism for the year ahead, pledging to build on the momentum and pursue even greater milestones in 2026.
The holiday message also extended warm wishes of peace, love, and togetherness to families across the diaspora. CEANA encouraged members to embrace the season with gratitude while looking forward to a New Year filled with good health, prosperity, and new opportunities.
Call to Register for CEANA 2026 Convention
As part of the announcement, CEANA urged all member associations and families to begin registering early for the 33rd Annual CEANA Convention, scheduled to take place in the Washington DC Metro Area, from September 3–7, 2026.

The annual convention remains CEANA’s flagship gathering, bringing together Ewes from across the United States and Canada, including chapters in Arizona, California, Colorado, Delaware, Georgia, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina, Texas, Toronto, and Quebec.
A Message of Unity
President Kumah closed the message with CEANA’s enduring call to solidarity:
“Nusẽ le dekawawa me — Unity is Strength.”
He thanked all supporters for standing with CEANA and reaffirmed the organization’s commitment to advancing Eweland with “joy, unity, and purpose.”
