The Council of Ewe Associations of North America, (CEANA) , is set to return to the homeland for a landmark gathering that blends cultural pride, development vision, and community reconnection. The 2026 Ghana Launch, scheduled for March 28 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Ho, represents more than an event, it is a deliberate homecoming to reaffirm CEANA’s commitment to Eweland and to the people whose heritage anchors the organization’s mission.
Under the theme “From the Root Up — Touching Base with Eweland for Eweland,” the launch calls the Ewe diaspora to reconnect with the wisdom, resilience, and identity that shaped generations. This year’s gathering carries added significance as members of CEANA’s leadership will travel from North America to Ghana to participate directly, symbolizing unity between the diaspora and the homeland.

The event will bring together an impressive assembly of traditional and national leaders, including Special Guest of Honor Togbe Afede XIV, Chairman Togbui Tepre Hodo, and distinguished chiefs, queen mothers, and lawmakers from across Eweland and Ghana. Their presence underscores the importance of CEANA’s ongoing development work and its role as a bridge between communities abroad and at home.

Renowned broadcaster , Bernard Avle , will host the program, guiding conversations that highlight culture, development, and the shared responsibility of uplifting Eweland. The celebration will also feature performances by Seyram Music, vibrant Borborbor ensembles, and a special appearance by Torgbui Olokojoko, whose evocative traditional artistry blends storytelling, drumming, and ancestral invocation. His performance is expected to bring a rare spiritual resonance to the event, an immersive reminder of the deep cultural roots that continue to shape Ewe identity across generations.
The Ghana Launch is designed as both a celebration and a call to action. It reaffirms CEANA’s long-standing commitment to supporting education, healthcare, and community development across Eweland. It also serves as a rallying point for the diaspora to deepen its engagement and strengthen the collective effort toward progress.
CEANA 2026 continues to champion the values that have guided the organization for decades: promoting culture, inspiring generations, and building a future rooted in unity and purpose. As the theme suggests, the journey forward begins by returning to the source.
Ne ho. Let us rise together.
