The Old Students of Zion Secondary School (Nafricans) have introduced a dynamic new initiative aimed at strengthening economic ties within the ZICO community and promoting the growth of member‑owned businesses. The project, known as Nafricans Market Day, will run every Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m., transforming the group’s digital platforms into a vibrant marketplace for trade, networking, and mutual support.
The initiative is being hailed as a bold and forward‑thinking step toward building a self‑sustaining alumni community where members intentionally support one another’s enterprises. Organizers say the goal is simple but powerful: create a space where Nafricans can trade within their own network, promote their businesses, and drive collective progress.
Every Friday, the platform will open for members to showcase their products and services, advertise special offers, and connect with potential clients across the Nafricans community. The leadership is encouraging all old students who operate businesses, whether in catering, construction, creative arts, retail, consulting, or any other field,to use the platform as a strategic tool for visibility and growth.
Members who wish to participate can contact any of the group administrators or reach the acting Public Relations Officer at 0558427111. To keep the marketplace organized and beneficial, each participant is allowed two posts, accompanied by a clean flyer, a brief description, and a sample or visual representation of their offering. Repeated posts and flooding are discouraged to maintain order and fairness.
The first Market Day featured two pioneering businesses whose participation set the tone for the initiative.

The first was Blaze Artwork and Painting Services, led by Willingston Blaze Norvihoho, popularly known as “Blaze”. His company offers a wide range of professional services including general painting, POP and plasterboard design, grafiato finishing, stucco painting, waterproofing, skimming, and wallpaper installation. Blaze Artwork operates in Prampram and Dawhenya and can be reached at 0542380015 or 0208570837, with social media handles under @blazeartwork.

Also featured was MacPee Catering Institute, based in Aflao, which provides cakes, full catering services, interior and exterior décor, and training opportunities for individuals interested in culinary and event‑related skills. The business is located at 2nd Low-Cost Off Ave-Maria Rough Road and can be contacted at 0541012620.
Organizers say these early participants represent the spirit of the initiative: skilled, entrepreneurial Nafricans ready to serve, collaborate, and grow. They are calling on all old students with businesses to step forward, use the platform, and support one another through patronage, referrals, and partnerships.
Nafricans Market Day is expected to become a cornerstone of the alumni community’s development agenda, fostering economic empowerment and strengthening bonds through shared prosperity. The message is clear: support our own, build Nafricans, and grow together.
Have a fruitful Market Day.
