Accra, Ghana – Vice President Prof Jane Naana Opoku Agyeman has visited the victims of a recent stampede who are receiving treatment at the 37 Military Hospital. Accompanied by Deputy Minister for Defence, Hon. Brogya Genfi, and Chief of Defence Staff, Lieutenant General William Agyapong, the Vice President spent time with each patient, offering words of encouragement and assurance of support.
During the visit, Prof Jane Opoku Agyeman commended the medical staff for their swift response and dedicated care, stating that their commitment has been vital in stabilizing the situation. He expressed gratitude to the healthcare workers for their tireless efforts in caring for the victims.
The Vice President also expressed condolences to the families of those affected and assured them of the government’s support during this difficult time. The visit was a gesture of solidarity with the victims and their families, and a demonstration of the government’s commitment to supporting those in need.
