Joyce Bawah Mogtari, the spokesperson for the Mahama campaign shared a heartwarming success story on social media, highlighting the life-changing impact of the Lordina Foundation Maternity and Children’s Ward at the Bole Government Hospital.

“Here’s some good news from the Bole Gov’t Hospital’s Lordina Foundation Maternity & Children’s Ward. The modern facility was built, fully furnished and handed over by Mrs. Lordina Dramani Mahama and her Foundation two years ago. Congratulations to Mummy for the impact on our women, children and communities across the country.”

This praise follows the hospital’s successful delivery of triplets via Caesarean Section on September 24, 2024. Led by Specialist Obstetrician Gynaecologist Dr. Jonathan Wadeyir Abesig, the surprise delivery marked the first triplet birth at the facility.

Dr. Abesig noted that triplet births via natural conception occur approximately once in every 10,000 births, emphasizing the need for advanced diagnostic services. The mother and her triplets are safe thanks to the hospital’s modern equipment.

Mohammad Mujahid Baba, the father of the triplets from Tamale in the Northern Region, expressed joy at the arrival of his three sons.

This achievement underscores the impact of the Lordina Foundation’s contributions to healthcare in Ghana, particularly for women and children. The hospital’s ability to handle complex deliveries demonstrates the importance of investing in quality medical facilities and trained professionals.

As the family adjusts to their new additions, Dr. Abesig has appealed for support, recognizing the unique challenges and joys of caring for triplets.
