Today, March 29, 2025, President Mahama and Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs. Rita Akosua Adjei Awatey, paid their respects to the late Elder Nana Dr. Michael Agyekum Addo (KAMA) in Suhyen-Koforidua. The renowned businessman and traditional leader passed away on November 1, 2024, at the age of 74, leaving behind a legacy of entrepreneurship and community development.
Nana Dr. Agyekum Addo’s journey to success began with a small pharmaceutical shop in Kumasi in 1983, which eventually grew into the KAMA Group of Companies. His business empire expanded into various sectors, including microfinance, real estate, and education, creating opportunities and impacting lives across Ghana.
The final funeral rites, which commenced on March 28, 2025, will conclude on March 30, 2025, with a public viewing in Suhyen, near Koforidua, followed by a thanksgiving service and Dote Yie. As a devout Christian and elder of the Church of Pentecost, Nana Dr. Agyekum Addo’s life was a testament to his faith and commitment to serving others.
President Mahama and Mrs. Awatey’s tribute to the late Elder Nana Dr. Agyekum Addo acknowledges his remarkable contributions to Ghana’s economic and social development.
