Accra’s Christ the King Catholic Church hosted a somber burial service for Justine Enyonam Agbenu, victim of the devastating East Legon car crash. The 12-year-old’s life was tragically cut short alongside friend Maame Dwomoh when a 16-year-old driver crashed into their vehicle on October 12.
The fatal accident sparked an outpouring of support. A candlelight vigil honored the girls at the crash site on October 18. Maame Dwomoh was laid to rest on October 19 at Gethsemane Memorial Gardens.

Distinguished mourners, including Mrs. Christine Nuama and the Caring Sisters, joined Justine’s family and friends at the Christ the King Catholic Church service. The poignant ceremony sought comfort and healing for the community.
Justine’s burial followed a private ceremony, capturing the heartbreaking goodbye in sorrowful videos ¹. The tragedy reminds us of life’s fragility and the importance of cherishing memories. May Justine and Maame’s souls find eternal peace.
