TRADERS PAY CONDOLENCE VISIT TO ASANTEHENE OVER LATE ASANTEHEMAA’S PASSING

A delegation from the Central Market and Kejetia Traders Association, led by Chairman Bernard Dwumoh, paid a condolence visit to the Manhyia Palace to extend their sympathies to His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene, ahead of the funeral rites of the late Asantehemaa, Nana Konadu Yiadom III. The delegation, which included prominent traders such as Frank Antwi, Kwabena Fosu, Ankamah, Patricia Acheampong, Kwabena Gyamfi, Emmanuel Kyeremateng, Sister Joyce, and Adwoa Benewaa, showed their respect and solidarity with the Asantehene and the royal family during this period of mourning.

The traders’ visit was marked by a gesture of support, as they made a generous donation of ₵30,000 to aid in the organization of the upcoming funeral ceremonies. This donation demonstrates the association’s commitment to honoring the late Asantehemaa and supporting the royal family during this significant event.

This visit underscores the strong bond between the trading community and the Asante traditional leadership, highlighting their commitment to paying respects and offering support during significant cultural events.
