Using the lyrics of the Dolly Parton song “Eagle When She Flies,” Gomashie described the deceased as a woman who has “seen and done it all” and knows how “to dish it out or take it all.”

Mad. Abla Gomashie highlighted the duality of her former boss’s spirit, noting that her heart was “as soft as feathers” yet she had the resilience to “weather stormy skies.”
The tribute repeatedly emphasized her ability to overcome adversity, stating, “She’s a sparrow when she’s broken, but she’s an eagle when she flies.”
She further described her as a “kaleidoscope of colours” who was a “lover, she’s a mother, she’s a friend and she’s a wife.” She praised her boss’s strength, describing her as “Gentle as the sweet magnolia, strong as steel her faith and pride,” and an “everlasting shoulder” and “leading post of life.”
The minister concluded her tribute with a final blessing and farewell, stating, “THIS REFLECTS WHO AND WHAT YOU STAND FOR, MY DEAR FORMER BOSS. REST WELL, FARE THEE WELL!”
