Amazon Store

The greatest squad ever assembled by Hearts Of Oak was 1977 and the 1979 squad popular called fearsome fivesome, but the 79 squad was without the dribbling magician, who left for Saudi Arabia after we lost to Haffia Club of Guinea in the African Clubs Cup final. The 77 squad had………..
1. Sam Super Suppey
2. Evans Aryequaye
3. Offei Ansa
4. Seth Ampadu
5. Tony Mica
6. Adolf Armah
7. Robert Hammond
8. Mama Acquah
9. Peter Lamptey

10.Anas Seidu

11. Mohammed Ahmed Polo
It has Addo Odametty as the head Coach, Addoquaye Addo as team manager. The 79 squad look a bit different from the 77 Squad, with few changes. Sam Suppey was still number one, Offei Ansa was shifted to the number 2 position, Hesse Odamtten, Nii Noi Thompson, and Juatice More manned our defence. Adolf Armah was still our mid field General, Nketia Yawson was brought from 11 wise to take over the right wing. Robert Hammond was pushed to the number 8 position, Kingstone Asabre took over from aging Peter Lamptey, Anas Seidu remain our trusted number 10, Douglas Tagoe has taken over the 11 position, when the dribbling magician left after the 1978 Cup of Nations. The Technical Team was still intact, they were all our legends, the key word was consistency in the Technical Direction. Let’s give our legends who had the required coaching certificate the chance to manage Hearts Of Oak, Consistency + Our Legends = Results and Cups. There was one player who was a super substitute who always save us when he comes on Simons Awuah of Dumas Boys Of GTP. I repeat all the greatest squads we ve had at Hearts Of Oak are handled by born and bread Phobians. Let’s go back to our roots. Don’t forget every team in Europe has its traditions.
I will be back with the 2000 squad reffered to as the 64 ball ions of infantry.
