Chicago November 26, 2023:Traditionally, Thanksgiving has been a celebration reflecting on the year’s blessings. On Thanksgiving Day, that is, the last Thursday in November, it is common for families to reunite, express gratitude, and feel closer to one another than at any other time.
The Sunday following the celebrations, Churches across the USA hold special Thanksgiving and or Harvest services to close the curtain on the festivities. The Bible also offers believers reasons to be thankful, as stated in 1 Thessalonians 5:18 – “In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The Harvest Celebration was the headline message by Reverend Emmanuel Betson at the Church of The Ghanaian Community of Chicago, COGCC. He asked the congregants to celebrate God’s blessings to us, or else we become ungrateful.
The church choir led praises and worship with splendid and spirit filled Ghanaian praises and worship songs. The Glorius Betson kids had a standing ovation for the classical performance of Thanksgiving tunes.
