Suzy Pinamang, a young woman who suffered a disfiguring eye injury, has arrived in the UK for surgery courtesy of business mogul Ibrahim Mahama. The Member of Parliament for North Tongu, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, who facilitated the trip, commended the Ghana High Commission officials for their assistance and Ibrahim Mahama for generously covering the entire cost of Suzy’s medical treatment.
Ablakwa, who is also the Foreign Affairs Minister, expressed gratitude to UK High Commissioner Harriet Thompson for her help in securing visas and extending special consular privileges to Suzy and her caregivers. He also thanked the MP for Bantama, Francis Asenso-Boakye, for bringing Suzy’s plight to his attention and requesting his intervention.
Suzy’s surgery is a result of collaborative efforts, and Ablakwa wishes her the best of luck, urging her not to give up. The Ghanaian people have rallied behind Suzy, offering prayers and support for her successful treatment.
