Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa has provided an update on the condition of Suzy Adwoa Pinamang, a Senior High School student who was shot in the eye by a classmate. After representing President Mahama at the Oxford Africa Conference, Ablakwa visited Suzy in London to check on her progress.
According to Ablakwa, Suzy’s doctors have conducted numerous tests following her gunshot injuries, and have scheduled her surgery for next month. Despite the challenges she faces, Ablakwa reported that Suzy is in high spirits and doing very well. Her courage and resilience have clearly impressed the Minister.
Ablakwa took the opportunity to commend the staff of the Ghana High Commission in London for their extraordinary care and support for Suzy during her stay in the UK. He expressed gratitude to philanthropist Ibrahim Mahama for his kindness and generosity towards Suzy’s treatment. The Minister urged everyone to continue praying for Suzy’s speedy recovery.
The Minister’s visit and update have brought hope and reassurance to many who have been following Suzy’s story. With her surgery scheduled for next month, Suzy’s family and friends remain optimistic about her chances of recovery. Ablakwa’s efforts to secure medical attention for Suzy abroad have been widely appreciated, and many are looking forward to her full recovery.
