The Office of the President has released a statement regarding the health status of Nana Bediatuo Asante, Secretary to the President. Following the 79th United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) in New York, Asante stayed behind to conduct government business but began feeling unwell and was hospitalized.

Fortunately, he is currently in stable condition and responding well to treatment. The medical team reports that his recovery is progressing smoothly, and they are optimistic about his swift return to full strength.
Nana Asante Bediatuo, a seasoned administrator, lawyer, and consultant, has served as Executive Secretary to President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo since January 2017. He played a key role in Ghana’s delegation to the UNGA.
The Office of the President is requesting continued prayers and support for Asante and his family during this challenging period. Further updates on his health will be provided as necessary.
Nana Bedietuo’s vast experience spans law, finance, and public service. He co-founded Faith Brothers Ltd, an investment holding company, and served as Managing Director of Citi Savings and Loans Limited, later acquired by Access Bank Plc .
