Accra, Ghana – The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has launched an innovative project, Girls4Goals, in partnership with FIFA and the German Development Cooperation (GIZ). This nine-month initiative aims to promote gender equality and empower girls in the Volta Region through football.

The project, led by GFA Deputy General Secretary Ama Brobey-Williams, seeks to equip girls with leadership skills, confidence, and new opportunities. By engaging with schools and community leaders, Girls4Goals hopes to create a lasting impact, enabling girls to succeed in both football and life.

“Girls4Goals is more than just a football project,” said Brobey-Williams. “It’s about unlocking the potential of our young women and challenging societal norms.”

International partner Martin Braud from La Guilde praised the initiative, stating, “This project will not only empower girls but also benefit their communities.”

With support from global organizations and local leaders, Girls4Goals is poised to inspire a new generation of girls to break down gender barriers and achieve their full potential through sports.
