Speaker of Ghana’s Parliament, Alban Kingsford Sumana Bagbin met with Ukrainian and Swedish envoys to discuss Ghana’s participation in the Fourth Parliamentary Summit of the International Crimea Platform. The meeting, held today, focused on Ghana’s role in the upcoming summit, scheduled for November 23-24, 2025, in Stockholm, Sweden.
The International Crimea Platform aims to raise awareness about Russia’s occupation of Crimea and its impact on human rights, security, and global food security. Ghana’s participation in the summit underscores its commitment to supporting Ukraine and promoting international cooperation.
Speaker Bagbin’s engagement with the envoys reflects Ghana’s active involvement in global parliamentary diplomacy, particularly in promoting peace and stability. As Chair of the Inter-Parliamentary Union’s Africa Group, Bagbin continues to play a key role in shaping Africa’s parliamentary agenda.
