SME Summit Aims to Boost Growth and Opportunities for Ghanaian Entrepreneurs

The SME Programme is set to host a summit under the theme “Breaking Barriers to SME Growth” to enhance partnerships, mobilize financial resources, and advocate for inclusive policies to foster SME growth in Ghana. The event will bring together 150 selected participants from various sectors, including the private sector, academia, regulatory institutions, media, industry, and financial service providers.

The Minister for Finance, Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam, emphasized the summit’s objectives, stating that it aims to provide a platform for public and private sector actors to collaborate and promote SME growth. The President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, will launch the SME Growth and Opportunity Programme at the summit, which will feature key speakers, including ministers, the Central Bank Governor, and the President of the African Development Bank Group.

The summit will also include an exhibition of SME products and provide opportunities for SMEs to connect with financial service providers, business regulatory institutions, and other stakeholders. Partnering agencies, such as the Ghana Enterprises Agency, Ghana EXIM Bank, Development Bank Ghana, and International Finance Corporation, are supporting the event.

This summit is a significant step towards promoting SME growth and opportunities in Ghana, and it is expected to have a positive impact on the country’s economic development.
