Kumasi, Ghana – The Golden City today unfurled its crimson carpets and resonating drums to welcome King Mswati III of Eswatini, who has arrived to commence a four-day official visit steeped in cultural exchange and fraternal ties. The monarch’s arrival marks a significant moment, strengthening the bonds between the Southern African kingdom and the rich traditions of the Ashanti nation.
King Mswati III was greeted with profound warmth by a distinguished delegation from Manhyia, led by the venerable Paramount Chief of the Juaben Traditional Area, Nana Otuo Siriboe II. The air hummed with reverence as traditional rites unfolded, including the pouring of libation—a sacred gesture of welcome and blessing, invoking ancestral spirits for a propitious visit.
This eagerly anticipated visit is set to culminate in a highly significant meeting between King Mswati III and the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, later today. This convergence of two powerful traditional leaders from different corners of the African continent is expected to foster deeper cultural understanding and explore avenues for collaboration.
