In a move set to bolster GCB Bank PLC’s position as a leading financial institution in Ghana, Professor Joshua Alabi has been appointed as an Independent Non-Executive Director and Chairman of the board. This development follows the resignation of Mr. Daniel Kwaku Tweneboah Asirifi.

Prof. Alabi brings an impressive wealth of experience to the table, with over 30 years of leadership expertise under his belt. His illustrious career spans various roles, including Chairman of HFC Bank (now Republic Bank), Vice-Chancellor of UPSA, and Chairman of SSNIT’s Board of Trustees. He has also had stints as a Member of Parliament, Minister of State, and sports administrator.
As a seasoned academic, administrator, and business strategist, Prof. Alabi is well-equipped to steer GCB Bank PLC towards even greater heights. Expressing his gratitude for the appointment, Prof. Alabi pledged to strengthen the bank’s position as a leading financial institution.
