President John Dramani Mahama has emphasized the need for a long-term national development plan that transcends electoral cycles and partisan politics. Speaking at the swearing-in of the National Development Planning Commission (NDPC), President Mahama stressed that Ghanaians deserve a stable and predictable future.
Drawing inspiration from the vision of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, the President highlighted the importance of addressing Ghana’s structural challenges and diversifying the economy. He tasked the NDPC with developing a cohesive and inclusive plan that incorporates existing frameworks.
The President emphasized the need for strong collaboration with Parliament and public engagement in the planning process. Expressing confidence in the NDPC’s expertise, President Mahama urged the commission to work together to deliver a transformative plan for Ghana’s future.
