
Moslem prayers were held today for two of the eight people who died in a helicopter crash on August 6. The victims honored were Dr Alhaji Ibrahim Mohammed Murtala Muhammad, Member of Parliament for Tamale Central and Minister for Environment, Science, and Technology, and Alhaji Muniru Limuna Mohammed, acting Deputy National Security Coordinator.
The prayers, led by Chief Imam Sheikh Osman Nuhu Sharubutu, were attended by President John Dramani Mahama and Rt Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin. Also present were Ministers of State, Members of Parliament, religious leaders, institutional heads, and many other Ghanaians.
Following the prayers, the two were laid to rest at the military cemetery in Accra.
