The Black Stars have arrived at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA) this evening ahead of their trip to South Africa to face the Bafana Bafana in the qualifiers to the 2022 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.
The continental showpiece was originally scheduled to be played this year but had to be pushed to next year as a result of the Coronavirus (Covid-19) pandemic.
Billed to play two final matches in the qualifiers to next year’s AFCON in this international break, Ghana hopes to get the needed result to book qualification.
Set to face off with South Africa later this week, the West African side is this evening flying out of Ghana to Johannesburg.
A contingent of Black Stars players with technical team members and some officials of the GFA is making the trip for the encounter.
The team upon arrival will have a rest before training at the match venue on Wednesday ahead of the clash on Thursday, March 25, 2021.
