Accra, Ghana – The Speaker of Parliament, Rt. Hon Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin, is set to launch the Speaker’s Scholarship Programme on Monday, November 17, 2025. The initiative aims to provide Members of Parliament and Parliamentary Service staff with opportunities to pursue further academic and professional advancement, strengthening governance, leadership, and public service delivery.
The programme, themed “Empowering Governance Through Advanced Scholarship,” will be delivered in partnership with NiBS University, a Ghana Tertiary Education Commission-accredited institution. Beneficiaries will gain access to advanced academic programs, including PhD and Master’s degrees in Business Administration, Public Sector Innovation, and Leadership.
The Speaker’s Scholarship scheme recognizes Speaker Bagbin’s transformational leadership and commitment to strengthening Ghana’s democratic institutions. The initiative is expected to equip MPs and Parliamentary Service staff with research capabilities, strategic leadership skills, and specialized knowledge, ultimately enhancing governance and public administration in Ghana.
