Accra, Ghana – The family of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has announced the final funeral arrangements for the former First Lady, scheduled to take place on Friday, November 28, 2025, at the Independence Square in Accra. The announcement was made by Oheneba Akwasi Abayie, Otumfuo Akomforehene, at a press conference, where he expressed the family’s gratitude for the widespread sympathy received following her passing.

Funeral activities will commence at 6:00 am with the arrival of the cortege, and the ceremony is open to the general public. Mourners are advised to arrive early and adhere to the directives of the security and protocol team to ensure an orderly process. The official attire for the funeral is strictly black, and there will be no official cloth for the ceremony.

The event at the Independence Square will serve as the final funeral rites, and no other ceremony will be held elsewhere once the burial service concludes. The family and organizers have put in place necessary arrangements to ensure a dignified and smooth ceremony, and are urging the public to participate fully while following the guidelines provided.
