Chicago, IL, USA — A historical moment occurred on Saturday, December 11th in Chicago. The moment included a clash between the hottest Ghanaian DJs in the state of Illinois and also the crowing of the historical Miss Ghanaweb 2004. (pictures) The event was all for fun and also a fundraising event for the Ghanaian children’s summer camp. The two DJs were not the only personalities on center stage. I will continue with the story of other personalities in a moment. In any Ghanaian event in Chicago, the DJ of the party would either be “Off the Chain” and ubiquitous DJ Samuel Quaye, popularly known as Sam-Q, and the mighty Millennium Soundz but not both at the same party. They have proved that they are great and would always impress their audience. They used the occasion to make a difference in their community.
Back to personalities at the occasion, the event was hosted by two MCs. He is no other than the “Chicago Mayor”, Mr. Boafo Papafio. The other MC; is currently an

Nartey and asked the audience for a loud and long round of applause for her. They are the Ghanaian version of
“Regis and Kelly”. They were great and would always grace an occasion when entrusted to host it. Mrs. Nartey’s
manager has made it known to Ghanaweb that she is always available to host any major Ghanaian event in the

Moreover, each DJ was given an hour to show his “Skillz” and they gave the audience more than they asked for.
With regards to the Ms. Ghanaweb pageant, they were no contestants so Mrs. Nartey used another concept. She
requested all the ladies in the audience to the dance floor. With judges in place, ten best dancers were picked and
then were narrowed to the top three finalists. The final three danced and the one who impressed the judges and
the audience became Miss Ghanaweb. She is no other than Antoinette Akosua Adutwumaah Kwateng;J.D. A
lawyer by profession, the beautiful and lovely Ms. Kwateng shook “what her mama gave her”, she is a great
dancer and had so much fun. Ms. Ghanaweb was presented with a cloth and would be featured on Ghanaweb
frequently throughout the year until a new queen is crowned in 2005.
Later on, the best-dressed gentleman was found and his name goes name; Mustapha Abubakari, a Hairstylist. He was presented with his prize by Nana Akwasi Addae; Chief of Asanteman Association in Chicago.
There was a raffle winner who also won a DVD player. Nana Akwasi Addae, well respected and dignified
the community leader was commended for his hard work by Mr Papafio.
