The Minority in Parliament has entered the debate surrounding the clearance of 120 containers of essential medical supplies at the port.
These supplies, provided by the Global Fund, have been stuck at the port for over a year, prompting the fund to threaten a reduction in future shipments to Ghana.

The situation has sparked a dispute between health sector civil society organizations (CSOs) and the government. While the government claims the consignment contains only mosquito nets, Minority Spokesperson on Health, Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, raised concerns about the use of a $2 million allocation for supply clearance.

Despite the contents, the Juaboso MP urged the government to expedite the clearance process, emphasizing that the government requested the supplies and that the delay is an international embarrassment.
