Former President John Dramani Mahama bid a heartfelt farewell to Mawuena Adzo Dumor, a distinguished daughter, sister, and colleague, as she was laid to rest today. Mahama eulogized Mawuena as a consummate professional, a patriot, and a shining star whose life was cut short too soon.
He remembered her as a woman of incredible intellect, strategic insights, and investment knowledge, who served Ghana with diligence, professionalism, and integrity. As the first female Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC), she boosted foreign direct investments and created job opportunities, leaving an indelible mark on the economy.

Mahama also highlighted her dedication to the National Democratic Congress (NDC), serving as a spokesperson and supporting the party’s efforts during the COVID-19 pandemic. He expressed his deepest condolences to her family, especially her father, Professor Ernest Dumor, and her children, Katherine Joy and Korshie.
Mahama concluded, “Mawuena, you left us too soon, but your legacy will live on. May your soul rest in perfect peace in the Lord.” Today, we gather to celebrate your life, cherish memories, and honor your remarkable contributions to our nation. Farewell, dear Mawuena.
