TAMALE, GHANA – Former President John Mahama, Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), has pledged to safeguard every vote for the party in the upcoming December elections. Addressing a packed crowd at the launch of the NDC’s 2024 campaign in Tamale on Saturday, Mahama assured supporters that the party would utilize all available instruments to ensure transparent outcomes.

Citing past issues with the Electoral Commission (EC), Mahama emphasized the need for vigilance. “We will not sleep until all ballots are counted,” he declared, urging party members to volunteer and ensure that pink sheets are posted at polling stations as required by EC rules.

Mahama instructed NDC polling station officials to insist on the posting of pink sheets and to take pictures as evidence for future reference. This, he said, would guarantee the integrity of the electoral process.

With the campaign season intensifying, Mahama’s call to action underscores the NDC’s determination to protect its votes and ensure a fair election. As the December polls approach, the former President’s words are likely to resonate with supporters and spark a sense of urgency among party faithful.
