In a move aimed at bolstering Ghana’s economic management, President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as the Finance Minister-designate. This announcement was made through a statement by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, the Acting Spokesperson to the President.

Dr. Forson brings a wealth of experience to the table, boasting an impressive background as a Fiscal Economist, Chartered Accountant, Tax practitioner, and Entrepreneur. His professional journey spans two decades, with stints in both the private and public sectors. Notably, he served as the Managing Director of Forson Contracts Limited in the United Kingdom.

Dr. Forson is no stranger to the Finance Ministry, having previously served as a Deputy Minister for Finance under President Mahama’s administration. During his tenure, he played a pivotal role in managing Ghana’s fiscal policies, negotiating key financial agreements, and supervising economic initiatives aimed at strengthening the country’s financial health..

As the member of parliament for Ajumako Enyan Essiem constituency, Dr. Forson’s nomination is seen as a strategic move to consolidate President Mahama’s governance agenda. His expertise and experience make him an ideal candidate to steer Ghana’s economy towards growth and stability.
