President John Dramani Mahama has extended his heartfelt condolences to the Roman Catholic Church and Catholic faithful in Ghana following the passing of Pope Francis. On behalf of his family and the people of Ghana, Mahama expressed profound grief over the Pope’s death.
The President fondly recalled his visit to the Vatican, where he had the honor of meeting Pope Francis with his wife, Lordina. Mahama praised the late Pope’s legacy of compassion, humility, and commitment to social justice, noting that his leadership and advocacy for the poor and marginalized will continue to inspire generations.
President Mahama concluded by wishing the soul of Pope Francis perfect peace.
