Accra, Ghana – Renowned media personality Kwasi Kyei Darkwah, popularly known as KKD, has been appointed Ghana’s Special Envoy to the Caribbean Region. The appointment aims to strengthen Ghana’s international relations and deepen bilateral ties with Caribbean nations.
KKD’s mandate includes boosting diplomatic, cultural, and economic cooperation between Ghana and countries such as Cuba, Haiti, the Dominican Republic, Trinidad and Tobago, and Barbados. His role aligns with Ghana’s foreign policy goals, focusing on expanding trade and investment opportunities, promoting Ghanaian culture, and addressing shared development challenges.
The appointment highlights Ghana’s commitment to leveraging historical, cultural, and ancestral links to strengthen bonds with the Caribbean. KKD’s experience and influence are expected to foster meaningful partnerships and collaboration between Ghana and the region.
