
Flagbearer aspirant Kennedy Agyapong has secured the coveted first slot on the ballot paper for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries. The opposition party conducted the balloting exercise on Friday, October 10, at the NPP headquarters in Accra, ahead of its much-anticipated primaries slated for later this month. The draw marks a significant point for all contenders as they finalize preparations for the internal contest.

The former Assin Central MP will now lead the list of aspirants in the race to become the NPP’s next flagbearer. The balloting, which determined the official order of candidates, was carried out under the careful supervision of the party’s elections committee, ensuring a transparent process for all contenders vying for the top spot.
Following the conclusion of the exercise, the final and complete order on the ballot paper was confirmed. After Kennedy Agyapong at number one, the remaining candidates are listed as: Bryan Acheampong, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, Dr Yaw Osei Adutwum, and Kwabena Agyepong.
