Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra has issued a formal statement denying its involvement in the upcoming Israeli Film Festival, scheduled to take place from September 16 to 20, 2025, at Silverbird Cinema in the Accra Mall. According to the hotel, its name and logo were used in the event’s advertising and promotional materials without its knowledge or authorization.

The hotel has requested that the Israeli Embassy and event organizers take immediate action to correct the promotional materials, clarifying that Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra is not a sponsor of the event. This clarification aims to rectify the inaccurate representation and protect the hotel’s brand integrity.

The Israeli Film Festival is set to showcase a selection of Israeli films, potentially highlighting cultural and artistic collaborations between Israel and Ghana. However, the controversy surrounding the unauthorized use of Kempinski Hotel’s branding may impact the event’s perception.

Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City Accra’s prompt response underscores the importance of maintaining transparency and accuracy in event promotions, particularly when involving well-known brands. The situation is expected to be resolved once the necessary corrections are made to the event’s promotional materials.
