The Southern Volta Association of Chicago, SVA, held an incredible Christmas and end-of-year party to celebrate the season and each other. Attendance was large as both members and non-members of the organization showed up to commemorate the Yelutide. The Kotogbor family hosted the event in Romeoville, Illinois. It was all joyfulness as members danced to Agbadza, borborbor, and many others.
Highlights of the evening were when members exchanged gifts and hilariously told the gathering the towns and villages in Ghana they came from. The President of the organization, Paul Sogbe, thanked the Lord for His mercies and protection during the past year. He pleaded with the Almighty Lord to continue to guard and guide members of the organization. He ended by thanking members for their dedication to the organization and acknowledged others who were present to Grace the occassion.
